Apple Pie

From Grandma Rosie’s family collection

Illustrated interpretation of Apple Pie
Illustrated interpretation from the family cookbook.

Let’s make it

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add apples; simmer gently for 5–8 minutes, until just tender. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in gelatin and apple pie spice until dissolved. Let cool until room temperature and beginning to thicken, but still spoonable.
  3. Spread ¾ cup cereal in a deep 10-inch pie dish. Spoon in the apples and gelatin, then sprinkle with remaining cereal.
  4. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, until set. Serve with a dollop of sweetened yogurt.
